In normal circumstances (non-COVID), students can visit other UNC system universities close to them and check out their materials for free, with proof of UNCW enrollment. Print books take 8-10 business days, but could take longer. Articles/Book chapters take 3-5 business days and are uploaded to the ILL portal. This will open up the address field, and notify library personnel to mail the item to the student, with return shipping label included. For online/distance students, under Status, you need to select Distance Education or Distance Ed Grad. Request scanned articles & book chapters, and print books. Can request through ILL from the item’s record, except for eBooks. One recommendation to see what books are available, WorldCat FirstSearch. If not, the student can request the print copy through Interlibrary Loan. Students can notify Melissa Raymer ( and she will look to see if an eBook copy is available for purchase. eBooks through the database packages, titles can be added and removed at any time without notification. eBooks are bought individually and through database packages. Individual ebook titles are also listed in the UNCW Library Catalog,. Library Resourcesĭuring COVID, the library has offered this page of Remote Library Services for students/faculty/staff. You will also be asked to provide a written or video summary of your experience upon completion of your project. In order to be considered for an award, please complete the application by clicking on the following link. To apply, the student must be enrolled in one of the programs in the Educational Leadership department. Once the work is completed, an invoice will need to be issued by the vendor for payment. An estimate of the work to be done will need to be provided with your request. A minimum two-week window is necessary to receive all approvals prior to the start of work.

Worked cannot be started until full approvals have been obtained (including issuance of an UNCW purchase order). Proposals should be submitted as early as possible. Full allocations do not exceed $750 per applicant. To be eligible to receive the allocation, the student must submit proof of project, paper acceptance, or evidence prior to receiving award. Students must be in good standing and making satisfactory progress toward completion of their degree. In the event of limited funds, preference will be given to applications from students beyond their first year of graduate study who did not receive allocations in the prior year. The funds, once granted, must be exhausted before May 1 of each calendar year. The application opens in the Fall of each year and remains open until all funds are exhausted for each academic year. The faculty would like to support students in their efforts to be academic scholars in the field of educational leadership through student presentations of original, creative research or projects. 
The EL department will offer each year, as funds are available, an opportunity for students to request funding for transcription or editing services that directly relate to a EDL class. The Educational Leadership Student Transcription and Editing Award is designed to reward excellence in scholarship and increase the visibility of UNCW's graduate programs and research. UNCW needs to pay the vendor directly for the services you are requesting. Students cannot be reimbursed for work that has already been completed.
